Virginia Chormoviti is a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece (EETE*). She has eleven international photography awards under her belt, among which the Gold Medal in the Hellenic photography competition in 2011 with the title “Mater Natura” and 2 Awards of Excellence in Cyprus and France.
Until today she did solo exhibitions in Spain, Portugal and Greece and she also participated in joint exhibitions, festivals and biennials in Spain, England, Cyprus, Portugal and Greece. She is the only artistic photographer to have solo exhibitions in her country at the Silversmithing Museum of the Piraeus Bank Group Cultural Foundation and at STOart Korai of the National Insurance.
She studied the Italian Literature at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece) and Spanish Literature at the Ionian University in Corfu (Greece). She completed her Master’s Degree in Literary & Humanities Translated texts in Malaga (Spain). She has taught the Italian Language and Spanish Literature at several Universities in Greece. At a Scientific Conference held in Corfu in November 2012, she presented the Greek poet and photographer Andreas Empirikos. She collaborates with various magazines that publish her translations from Spanish or Italian to Greek.
